WHAT SEPARATES YOUR SALON FROM THE REST?
I would have to say without doubt, the atmosphere. This is not an “attitude” salon. The minute you walk in you know something is different. I designed this place with our guests comfort at the top of the list. I have been in this business for over 20 years. I love people and I love what I do. I wanted what I love to reflect my workspace. The convenient and intimate location is an ideal place to relax. I like things to be on a personal level. I didn’t want the salon to feel commercial. Do what you love and the rest will follow. I’m a firm believer, just be yourself and people will like you. You don’t have to dress up, speak with an accent or have celebrity connections. Remember, we are supposed to impress you.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD SOMEONE CUT, COLOR OR WAVE, ETC...?
We recommend for a cut, the average time between visits should be 4 to 6 weeks depending on the cut. No longer than 8 weeks, except with very long hair 8-12 weeks is sufficient. Color and highlights can sometimes go as long as 10-12 weeks. For a wave; depending on the stye, 12-16 weeks. Some people are able to go much longer. It really depends on the person.

I GO FROM SALON TO SALON, BUT CAN NEVER GET THE RIGHT STYLE, ANY SUGGESTIONS?
First, unless it is a bad experience you should give your hairdresser at least 3 chances, it takes time to get to know them and vice versa. If after that you are not happy try another hairdresser in the salon. Be as specific as you can about your goals and be open to suggestions. Time and teamwork, not salon hopping is the best way to find a look you love. Not every hair dresser is for every person. Your friend may love their hairdresser, you may not. It is a relationship built over time.

Definitely. It is difficult for a lot of people to visualize what they want. Pictures are a great way to give the hair dresser something to go on. It is the hairdressers experience, education and responsibility to know whether your hair, texture, color and growth patter can achieve similar results.

This is a misconception.
Your hairdresser wants you to be happy. Hairdressers are basically people pleasers. Sometimes you need a change or a different perception. Don’t leave the salon. If you feel uncomfortable, just book your next appointment with another hairdresser to try them out
The salon should be a working as team, and a fresh new idea could be just what need. This is a common occurrence with hairdressers that are booked on a regular basis, so don’t worry. Your happiness is what matters most. If you run into an uncomfortable situation talk to the owner and then make your decision. In the hair business, change is the only sure thing. Pricing varies from salon to salon. Prices can be extremely high or very low. Paying the most doesn’t always mean the best. Our pricing is based on the professionalism and experience of our hairstylist, the quality of product used, the atmosphere of the salon and the time and care given to each client. Many women spend a fortune on one outfit only to wear it once. If the hair doesn’t look good somehow the outfit just doesn’t look good either. Wouldn’t it make sense to spend the money on something that would look great every day? Well, almost everyday! The way we look determine the way we feel about ourselves.

WHAT CAN ONE EXPECT?

Most of the scheduling for new clients is done by myself or one of the other hairdressers. We like to do a short phone consultation to assess the clients needs and make sure the appointment is scheduled correctly. By doing this, we have more of an idea of what the client wants out of their first visit. A lot of people like this because they don’t feel as though they are walking into the salon cold. Finding a new hairdresser can be really stressfull!! The phone consultation puts people at ease right away.

WHAT ABOUT NATURALLY CURLY HAIR?
Natural curly hair, just like bone straight hair is a whole separate entity both having very different textures but both at times being difficult to cut, not everyone can cut naturally curly hair well, that is a fact. Any girl with naturally curly hair knows that your style does not change daily it can change by the hour and the weather has EVERYTHING to do with it!! And there are girls that do NOT have curly hair but have the texture of curly hair, find someone you feel comfortable with and ask them if they cut curly hair and ask your friends for recommendations, we have been referred consistently by Naturallycurly.com check out this website it is great for curly hair.
